Job summary

Vanderlande Industries B.V. seeks a Process Engineer to optimize automated logistics solutions. You will measure customer process performance, analyze data, and propose improvements across technical and operational domains.

Collaborating with service teams and clients, you’ll develop dashboards, conduct root-cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating with multiple technical and operational groups across Europe.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with stakeholder management.

Job TitleProcess engineerJob DescriptionJob DescriptionAs Process Engineer you’ll be responsible for executing process optimizations related to our (automated) logistics solutions in use. Together with the customer and colleagues, you’ll measure and report the performance of the customers process. By using system-generated data, you will analyze this performance, identify improvements and propose solutions. This could be both technical solutions (such as equipment modifications or software changes) and operational solutions (such as handling procedures and planning changes).You will be coordinating root-cause finding for complex system errors as well as performance improvement studies and continuous improvement services. This also includes day to day operational steering on KPI’s. As a part of your work on continuous improvement, you actively identify improvements and modifications from the field and translate these into customer business cases.Where requested you also support with the testing and implementation of the improvements. While doing, you will build a strong network within the service team as well as with the client. You’ll also develop tools as dashboards and methods to measure and monitor system and process performance.Your profileAs Process Engineer you’re able to act on operational, tactical and strategic level. On the one hand you are able to communicate with service technicians and software experts about technical details and understand the activities of the operators on the site. On the other hand you know how to present the benefits of a specific solution in a convincing and constructive way on management level. You have strong analytical capabilities, together with an entrepreneurial approach in which you are responsible to take the initiative and make decisions. You have excellent communication skills and you are able to build good relationships with our customers, both in the office environment as on the shopfloor.You have finished a master degree in for example: Logistics, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering;You have affinity with working in a technical and logistical environment;Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role;Experience with stakeholder management;Strong analytical skills and an interest in databases and data analytics tooling;Good proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.Knowledge of databases, SQL, Power BI, Python, or other information analysis tools.A strong focus on continuous improvement and root cause analysis.Ability to coordinate with different technical and operational teams.B2 level of English.Willing to travel to other sites in Europe.Your departmentWithin this complex network of processes, Vanderlande Service maintenance and optimization of a significant part the material handling system for parcels and Amazon.
