SIG Group is seeking a Process Design Engineer in Spain to lead the mechanical design and engineering of equipment for food processing, aseptic and hot-generation technologies. You will drive system-level engineering and develop complete production systems, including CIP/SIP and filling equipment, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5+ years in process industries, strong CAD (SolidWorks) skills, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Formación

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food, beverage, dairy or related process industries with equipment design focus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong CAD proficiency, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and process equipment.
  • Experience with aseptic processing, filling technologies, CIP/SIP, or hygienic equipment design is desirable.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead mechanical design and engineering of equipment for food processing, aseptic and hot-generation tech, filling systems and related process equipment.
  • Develop complete production systems, including CIP/SIP, filling equipment, and product handling solutions.
  • Drive system-level engineering, integration and optimization beyond component design.
  • Create process concepts, P&IDs, equipment layouts, technical specs, and engineering docs.
  • Advance hygienic design, sterilization techs, fluid dynamics, and process validation.
  • Solve complex engineering challenges related to food safety, performance, validation and efficiency.
  • Contribute to R&D and next-generation filling/processing solutions.
  • Bridge design to field deployment, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and startup activities.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Design, Automation, R&D, Project Management, Product Management and Operations teams.
  • Travel internationally to support commissioning, startups and customer projects.
  • Engage with customers, suppliers and OEM partners to ensure project success.
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting and process optimization.

  • Collaborate closely with Mechanical Design, Automation, R&D, Project Management, Product Management, and Operations teams.
  • Travel internationally to support commissioning, start-ups, troubleshooting, and customer projects.
  • Work directly with customers, suppliers, and OEM partners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

You Bring These Skills, Experience & Education
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, or related process industries, with a focus on equipment design and engineering.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, process equipment, and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with aseptic processing, filling technologies, CIP/SIP systems, or hygienic equipment design is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international environments.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is considered an advantage.
