A private family residence near Barcelona is seeking a Sous Chef to work alongside its Head Chef. This is a permanent, full-time position cooking for one family — two principals and four children.

The kitchen follows a strict dietary framework: all cooking is done in clarified butter, industrial seed oils and processed foods are excluded, bread and pastries are not served, and salads are always served undressed with dressings on the side.

Formación

• 3–10 years as Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in fine-dining, luxury hotel, or private household.
• Excellent ability to work with strict dietary rules (allergy/medical/elimination).
• Fluent in English or Spanish.
• Discreet, professional, able to work in a confidential private household.
• Proactive, detail-driven, ownership mindset, anticipates problems.
• Current HACCP and food-handler certification.

Responsabilidades

• Support Head Chef in daily meals, private dinners, and events to a high standard.
• Lead kitchen during Head Chef's absence, ensuring continuity of quality and service.
• Assist in menu development, sourcing, stock control, and supplier coordination.
• Uphold strict food safety, allergen management, and kitchen hygiene protocols.
• Anticipate needs and propose improvements, bringing a proactive mindset.
• Adapt to household schedule, including events.
