Job summary
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a hands-on Principal Scientist to design, build, and scale optimization, simulations, and digital twins across Therapeutics Development & Supply. This role translates complex processes into rigorous models and integrates outputs into enterprise decision workflows.
The ideal candidate combines OR/industrial engineering expertise with software engineering discipline and leadership capabilities to deliver high-impact decisions and scalable solutions
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field and 5+ years applying optimization, simulation, or related methods.
- Depth in at least two areas: mathematical programming, discrete-event simulation, stochastic optimization, or resource planning.
- Strong Python programming and experience with optimization/simulation frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and solve portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, and capacity planning problems.
- Design, build, and scale digital twins and simulations to guide Decisions across Therapeutics Development & Supply.
- Develop reusable modeling workflows and decision-support products using Python and cloud tools.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration and clearly communicate model results to technical and non-technical audiences.
