Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Data Scientist in Madrid to shape and deliver production-grade AI, ML, and data science solutions. You will turn complex engineering and environmental needs into scalable data products and AI services.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams on generative AI, LLMs, MLOps, and geospatial data science, coaching others and ensuring solutions are tested and monitored in live use.

Competenze

• Experience delivering production data science, ML or AI in an enterprise environment.
• Develop and deploy production-grade AI models and data products.
• Strong Python and modern ML frameworks experience (PyTorch/TF/Keras).
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, retrieval augmented generation, and fine-tuning techniques.
• Design and operate end-to-end MLOps workflows including training, deployment, monitoring, and automation.
• Ability to work across cloud and engineering environments (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Databricks).
• Clear communication and stakeholder engagement to translate tech into business value.
• Experience coaching data scientists or ML engineers across teams.
• Knowledge of LangChain, agentic tools, and diffusion of AI governance.
