Ookla seeks a Principal Architect to lead architectural development for Ekahau while driving alignment and standards across the broader Ookla team. You will define a multi-year technical roadmap ensuring scalable, secure, future-proof systems and act as a key advisor to senior leadership.

The role spans Ekahau, Speedtest Pulse, and Speedtest Certified across desktop, mobile, and cloud, shaping architecture decisions globally.

Formación

• 10+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Expert level fluency in Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, Postgres and AWS.
• Strong background in software/data architectures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Hands-on and able to bridge engineering and product.

Responsabilidades

• Define and evolve Ekahau’s multi-year architectural roadmap and align with business goals.
• Run architectural governance and reviews for consistent technical standards.
• Architect complex, high-availability services and set company-wide standards.
• Act as a bridge between engineering teams and product stakeholders.
• Mentor senior engineers and architects to raise the technical bar.
• Identify system-wide risks and prevent technical debt and failures.
