SEK International School Santa Isabel in Madrid is seeking a Primary English Teacher to join its academic team on a temporary cover position with immediate availability. The role focuses on delivering high-quality English instruction and fostering students' academic, personal, and social development in an international setting.

You will plan and deliver English-taught lessons, assess progress, differentiate instruction, and collaborate with colleagues to support a diverse learner population.

Formación

• University degree in Primary Education or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Primary Education.
• Native-level English proficiency.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centred education and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Primary Education lessons in English.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, adapting and differentiating learning according to their individual needs.
• Work closely with teaching and support teams.
• Actively participate in school projects and activities.
• When required, support learning environments in Early Years.

Requirements

• University degree in Primary Education or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous teaching experience in Primary Education.
• Native-level English proficiency, as English is the language of instruction.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centred education and to the safeguarding, wellbeing and holistic development of students.
• Immediate availability.

Desirable Requirements

• A dual qualification in Primary and Early Years Education, or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous teaching experience in Early Years.
• Experience in bilingual, international or IB school environments.
• Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
• Knowledge of Spanish.

We Offer

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:50 a.m. to 5:10 p.m.
• Contract: Temporary cover position.
• Start date: As soon as possible.
• Salary: According to the applicable collective agreement.
• Location: SEK International School Santa Isabel, Madrid.
