Job summary

IMDEA Food Institute invites applications for a predoctoral researcher in the EV-NutriFlow project. The PhD position centers on food-derived extracellular vesicles as delivery vehicles for bioactive compounds and safety assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent required in a relevant field such as Biological/Nutritional/Pharmacological sciences.
• Master degree or equivalent preferred with focus on molecular biology, nutrition, or related areas.
• Experience with molecular biology techniques and lab work is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform isolation, purification and characterization of food-derived extracellular vesicles.
• Assess vesicle stability and behavior during gastrointestinal digestion.
• Develop in vitro models to study vesicle-cell interactions and evaluate functionality and safety.
• Apply molecular biology techniques including RT-qPCR and protein analysis.
• Analyze data, review literature, and contribute to reports and publications.
