Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) in Spain invites applications for a First Stage Researcher position within the HOMEINEQ project. The successful candidate will undertake doctoral research and write a thesis as part of the Doctoral Programme in Demography at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

The role covers literature reviews, development of theoretical frameworks on housing and life-course inequalities, and analysis of longitudinal data using statistical methods (R/Stata).

Formación

• Admission to the Doctoral Programme in Demography (UAB) preferred in Sociology, Demography, Economics, Statistics or Geography.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1) required, both spoken and written.
• Strong quantitative analytical skills and interest in empirical social research.
• Knowledge of statistical methods and proficiency in data analysis software (R, Stata or similar).
• Experience or interest in social inequalities, housing, and life-course research is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Developing doctoral research aligned with the project's scientific objectives.
• Contributing to literature reviews and theoretical frameworks on housing and life-course inequalities.
• Supporting preparation, management, and analysis of longitudinal data.
• Applying statistical methods to analyze residential trajectories and inequalities in housing access.
• Contributing to scientific publications, conference presentations, and dissemination activities.
• Participating in the research team's scientific and coordination activities.
