CNIO - Spanish National Cancer Research Centre seeks a statistician/mathematician to join a project building an AI-based algorithm for identifying high-risk PDAC individuals using large-scale exposome and life-course data. The role involves integrating advanced AI techniques and multidisciplinary data to advance early cancer detection.
CNIO offers an international research environment with flexible compensation options and a project-linked contract.
The GMEG is looking for a statistician/mathematician to join a project to build an AI-based algorithm that identifies high-risk PDAC individuals by leveraging advanced AI techniques, such as foundation models. It is intended to integrate large-scale exposome and life-course epidemiological data. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research developing innovative AI-based methods to support early detection of pancreatic cancer.
CNIO is an international cancer research center of excellence with an active and stimulating working environment and a multidisciplinary approach to cancer research. GMEG's research spans identifying aetiological agents and genetic pathways to translating findings into clinical and public health applications, focusing on bladder, pancreatic, and breast cancers. To do so, we apply innovative methodologies and artificial intelligence (AI) approaches to both hypothesis-driven and agnostic/exploratory analyses, integrating multiple levels of information, including omics- and image-derived data. Our ultimate goal is to achieve personalized cancer prevention at three levels: reducing cancer incidence, improving early detection, and increasing life expectancy and quality of life.
