Amentum is seeking a Power Plant Operator to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The operator will ensure safe, efficient generation of electricity by monitoring generator sets, switchboards, and auxiliary systems while maintaining logs and adhering to safety protocols.

Minimum qualifications include at least three years of experience operating power generation equipment and a high school diploma.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience operating and maintaining power generation equipment in a power plant environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams.
• Must speak, read, and comprehend English to perform contract requirements and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and monitor generator sets, switchboards, radiator fans, and other plant systems.
• Manage fuel supply systems and related compressors/centrifuges.
• Perform pre- and post-operation checks and inspections of all systems and equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational problems and implement corrective actions.
• Document equipment performance and maintenance logs; maintain safety and environmental compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and abnormal conditions to minimize downtime and risk.
