ISGlobal, the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, seeks a post-doctoral researcher to manage statistical consulting for actigraphy and circadian-rhythm data processing, quality control, harmonization and analysis of rest-activity rhythm metrics for longitudinal phenotyping within project HB-24-CR-FP-C.

The role includes reporting on methodologies, outputs, and QC of GWAS data, and requires strong data analysis skills, English and Spanish proficiency, and a PhD in a related field.

The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

ISGlobal is seeking a POST DOCTORAL who is interested in taking over and managing activities of Statistical consulting services for actigraphy and circadian-rhythm data processing, quality control, harmonization and statistical analysis of rest-activity rhythm metrics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Statistical consulting services for actigraphy and circadian-rhythm data processing, quality control, harmonization and statistical analysis of rest-activity rhythm metrics (interdaily stability, intradaily variability, relative amplitude, sleep efficiency) supporting the longitudinal characterization of affective-symptom progression within project HB-24-CR-FP-C.

• Includes a technical report documenting methodology and outputs and QC GWAS data.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD in environmental epidemiology, bioinformatics, biomedicine or any related field.

• Experience in complex data analysis.

• Specific expertise in epidemiological methods or environmental health research is highly desirable.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in scientific writing.

• Proficient in data analysis software, particularly R.

• Advanced English level

LANGUAGE LEVEL

• Proficiency in English and Spanish.

CONDITIONS

• Contract: full time, until december 2026

• Salary: according to internal salary scale

• Work-Life Balance: 36 days off per year (23 vacation days + 13 personal days)

• Start date: october 2026
