The Sociedad de Biofísica de España (SBE) in Barcelona is offering a postdoc position in the Proteolysis Lab of the Structural Biology Unit. This role is ideal for self-motivated candidates with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and microbiology to conduct independent research.

The hosting place is the Proteolysis Lab of the Structural Biology Unit – SBU from the Spanish Research Council – CSIC in Barcelona (Spain) offers a postdoc position for immediate start. The position is funded for maximally 2 years, although it may be extended if new funds become available.

The SBU is a “María-de-Maeztu” Unit of Excellence of the Spanish Ministry for Economy and Competitiveness. It is part of the Molecular Biology Institute of Barcelona (IBMB), which is located within the premises of the Barcelona Science Park (PCB), a major pole for excellence in research in biomedicine of the Barcelona area.

Requirements

The candidate must be extremely self-motivated and dedicated, be able to work very hard independently but also to synergetically interact with other lab members, and have previous experience in molecular biology, biochemistry and microbiology. The project does not require skills in structural biochemistry.
