The Computer Vision Center in Spain invites applications for a computer vision researcher to collaborate on the Horizon Europe AgriScienceFM project, developing foundation models for agriculture and advancing multimodal data processing.

The role will work in the MSIAU group to build and evaluate foundation models using Earth observation, weather and soil data, and contribute to crop type mapping, phenology monitoring and yield forecasting.

Formación

• PhD in Computer Science, ML, Data Science, AI, or related field.
• Experience in deep learning and computer vision.
• Knowledge of foundation models and multispectral image processing.
• Proficiency in Python and DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).

Responsabilidades

• Multimodal data processing: define/implement preprocessing pipelines for multimodal agricultural datasets.
• Agri-environmental foundation model generation: develop models trained on co-located remote sensing and weather data.
• Foundation model assessment: evaluate models against benchmark tasks for crop type mapping, phenology, yield outlooks and irrigation needs.
