The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) in Barcelona invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to lead a project on enzyme-powered nanomotors and translational development toward clinical and industrial use.

You will design, synthesize, and characterize nanoparticle systems, advance surface functionalization, and coordinate with external partners including spin-offs and CDMOs. Candidates should have a PhD and strong publication record, with English proficiency.

Formación

• PhD in chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology or related field.
• Proven research experience in design, synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles and drug delivery systems.
• Strong publication record as first author in high-impact journals.

Responsabilidades

• Nanoparticle synthesis, formulation and optimization for drug delivery.
• Advanced physicochemical characterization (DLS, SEM/TEM, HPLC, TFF).
• Surface functionalization of organic nanoparticles for targeted delivery.
• Microfluidic fabrication and scale-up of nanoparticle production processes.
• Translate nanoparticle platforms toward industrial and clinical applications with external partners.
• Data analysis and publication of results; presenting at conferences.
• Mentor MSc/PhD students and manage project milestones.
