Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Madrid offers a one-year internship in Government Affairs & Policy, working under supervision to monitor policy developments at national and EU level, and to support briefing materials and stakeholder engagement.

You will gain exposure to cross-functional teams across medical, regulatory, and commercial groups, develop analytical and communication skills, and contribute to policy updates starting in January 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Political Science, Government Affairs, European Studies, International Relations, Public Policy, Law (with a focus on international or public affairs), or a related field.
• Strong interest and understanding of politics, European Union affairs, public policy, and regulatory topics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and reliability in delivering high-quality work.
• Solid foundation in project management principles and the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Spanish and European healthcare policy developments.
• Assist in briefing materials and stakeholder maps for internal and external engagements.
• Contribute to monitoring legislative and policy initiatives with potential impact on healthcare.
• Support organization and coordination of meetings with industry associations and policymakers.
• Research and compile information related to healthcare systems, access to innovation, and public policy priorities.
• Learn about healthcare policy, public affairs, regulatory environment, and advocacy activities.
• Support preparation of internal communications and policy updates.
• Participate in team projects and day-to-day activities under supervision.
