Job summary

Virtusa Corporation seeks a hands-on Platform Lead to own the technical operation, reliability and continuous improvement of the Starburst platform used by AstraZeneca R&D. You will lead a small engineering team, drive incident resolution, upgrades and performance enhancements across a Kubernetes-based deployment with an RDS backend.

Responsibilities

• As Platform Lead, accountable for the technical health of the service and enabling the support team to operate safely and efficiently with clear priorities.
• Lead the platform across a Kubernetes-based deployment with an RDS backend; manage incident resolution, problem management, upgrades, patching, onboarding and performance optimization.
• Coordinate with external Starburst vendor and translate service needs into a prioritized, sustainable platform roadmap; maintain governance and security across data platforms.
