Job summary

Nestlé S.A.’s Nespresso Digital and Tech Team seeks a Platform Lead specialized in commercetools to shape a global digital-commerce ecosystem. You will be the subject matter expert for commercetools, supporting 40 markets and guiding platform evolution, reliability, security and adoption in collaboration with technology, architecture, product, engineering and business teams.

You’ll own the platform roadmap, drive platform health and compliance, and enable teams to use commercetools effectively.

We are looking for a Platform Lead specialized in Commercetools to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team.

The Role

As Platform Lead - commercetools you will help shape the future of Nespresso’s global digital commerce ecosystem. You will be the subject matter expert for commercetools, a core platform supporting our direct-to-customer business across 40 markets. Working with technology, architecture, product, engineering and business teams, you will guide platform evolution, reliability, security, compliance and adoption.

Key responsibilities of the Commerce Platform Lead

• Own the strategic direction of the commercetools platform, acting as Nespresso’s subject matter expert and primary point of connection with the vendor. Build a strong partnership with commercetools, influence roadmap conversations, assess new capabilities and translate platform opportunities into clear business value.

• Drive platform health, reliability, security and compliance across the global digital commerce ecosystem. Partner with architecture, engineering and operations teams to ensure commercetools remains scalable, resilient and aligned with Nestlé standards as the platform evolves.

• Accelerate platform adoption by enabling teams to use commercetools effectively and consistently. Strengthen documentation, training, best practices and developer experience so product and engineering teams can move faster while maintaining quality and governance.

What you’ll do

• Conduct regular alignment sessions with commercetools to understand newly released capabilities and future roadmap items.

• Identify opportunities for Nespresso to influence and benefit from the commercetools roadmap.

• Partner closely with the architecture team, Head of eCommerce Technology, development teams and commercetools.

• Ensure commercetools solutions, including Merchant Centre, Frontend Studio and Connectors, have robust upgrade and compliance plans.

• Collaborate with reliability engineering teams to monitor platform health.

• Drive adoption of new platform capabilities across product and engineering teams.

• Support knowledge sharing through documentation, training and platform best practices.

• Act as the go-to subject matter expert for commercetools across the organization.

Minimum qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within digital commerce, eCommerce technology or platform leadership roles.

• Demonstrated hands-on or platform leadership experience with commercetools is required.

• Proven experience leading a digital commerce platform and engaging with technical, product and business stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of reliability, scalability, security and compliance principles.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Fluent business English.

Bonus Points If You

• Have experience with MACH, composable commerce or other headless commerce platforms.

• Can bridge technical and non-technical audiences.

• Have strong experience with agile delivery models.

• Have worked in global environments and virtual teams.
