Job summary

CHAMP Cargosystems is seeking a Director of Engineering & Platform to lead the Cargo BU's technology, platform and engineering org across Europe. You will set strategy, own architecture and cloud hosting, and drive AI integration into the Neo SaaS platform while guiding global teams and external partners.

The role requires a strong track record in cloud SaaS, architectural leadership and FinOps, with a focus on delivering high quality products at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience across full lifecycle.
• 8+ years in engineering leadership at director or equivalent level in a global environment.
• Experience owning a cloud-hosted SaaS platform end-to-end including hosting strategy and cost ownership.
• Experience leading AI adoption in engineering and embedding AI into products is preferred.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Set multi-year engineering and technology strategy for the Cargo BU aligned to product roadmap.
• Own architecture, patterns, frameworks and engineering standards across product domains.
• Lead cloud hosting strategy, cost control and FinOps culture.
• Own CI/CD, environments, release tooling and DevOps practices.
• Manage and grow a 100-headcount engineering organisation across geographies.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture and IT to deliver on roadmap with quality.
• Ensure teams follow security, reliability and incident management practices.
• Drive AI-enabled product capabilities and maintain AI governance policies.
