Jobbeschreibung

The Planner Lead is responsible for coordinating and consolidating development planning activities for IREN’s data center development pipeline in Spain, ensuring that project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and reporting are accurately maintained and aligned with business priorities. The role supports the Development Director by providing schedule visibility, planning discipline, and coordination across land, grid, engineering, permitting, commercial, and construction interfaces.

Working within the Development Department and reporting to the Development Director, the Planner Lead helps translate IREN’s renewable-powered AI and high-performance compute infrastructure growth objectives into integrated development plans, supporting timely decision-making and controlled progression of projects from early-stage opportunity through readiness for delivery.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Development Director, the Planner Lead is responsible for:

  • Coordinate the integrated development schedule for IREN’s Spanish data center pipeline, consolidating key activities, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress against approved plans, identify deviations, constraints, and critical path impacts, and prepare clear updates that support timely escalation and decision-making by the Development Director.
  • Coordinate planning inputs from land, grid, utilities, engineering, permitting, legal, finance, procurement, construction readiness, and external advisory teams to ensure that development plans remain complete, realistic, and aligned.
  • Maintain development dashboards, reporting packs, action trackers, risk logs, and milestone registers, ensuring that information is consistent, up to date, and suitable for internal governance and management reviews.
  • Support scenario planning and schedule analysis for development options, helping assess timing implications related to permitting pathways, grid connection milestones, land readiness, procurement lead times, and construction mobilisation.
  • Facilitate planning meetings, follow up on agreed actions, and promote disciplined communication between development workstreams so that priorities, interdependencies, and next steps are clearly understood.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning tools, schedule templates, reporting processes, and development governance practices, supporting a scalable approach as IREN expands its European infrastructure platform.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in project planning, development planning, project controls, scheduling, or programme coordination within infrastructure, energy, data center, industrial, or real estate development environments.
  • Strong understanding of development lifecycles, permitting processes, grid or utility interfaces, land readiness, engineering inputs, procurement dependencies, and construction readiness milestones.
  • Advanced proficiency in planning and reporting tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, Power BI, or equivalent project controls platforms.
  • Ability to consolidate complex information from multiple workstreams into clear schedules, dashboards, trackers, and management-level progress reports.
  • Strong coordination, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a structured and proactive approach to identifying risks, dependencies, and schedule impacts.
  • Fluent Spanish and professional English are required; experience in international, high-growth, or mission-critical infrastructure environments will be positively valued.
Compensation
  • Compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and market data for the region.
  • Total Compensation package may be inclusive of annual incentive bonus, and equity (long-term incentive)
  • Medical, dental and insurance coverage.
  • Wellhub: access to gyms, fitness classes and wellness services.
  • Pluxee: flexible benefits for meals, transportation and childcare expenses.
