Job summary

Wood is seeking a Piping Design Engineering Intern in our Madrid office (Las Rozas). You will gain exposure to upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas projects, supporting FEED, EPC and PMC activities and learning through hands-on tasks.

The role offers a unique path into professional engineering, with development plans and global expertise access, in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Last academic year or master's in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or similar degree.
• Spanish language at native level.
• Excellent command of English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of CAD-software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Academic situation that allows signing an agreement with a university or training center.
• Availability in the morning (daily dedication depending on the academic situation).
• Valid European Work Permit.
• Available immediately.

Responsibilities

• Check engineering documents and drawings under Senior Engineer supervision.
• 3D model design for piping, equipment and supports under supervision.
• 2D drafting of drawings in CAD.
• Ensure deliverables are produced on time, within cost and quality targets.
• Maintain a strong work ethic and understand team dynamics.
• Understand workshare elements and how to divide work-scopes.

Wood is currently recruiting for a Piping Design Engineering Intern for the piping engineering department in our Madrid office. This position will be based in our Madrid (Las Rozas) Office. Wood is looking for students interested in accessing the professional world through external academic internships and offers the possibility to put into practice and expand the knowledge acquired during their academic career. Students will get the opportunity to enter in the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas industry as we look to develop your background in conceptual engineering studies, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC and PMC projects.
