chk Education is seeking a Physics Teacher for a British international school in Málaga, Spain. You will teach students from Year 3 to Year 10, fostering curiosity and high standards in physics while using a rigorous, internationally-minded approach.

The role offers a salary of €35,000–€40,000 gross per year, housing, and annual flights, with an opportunity to contribute to an ambitious international curriculum in one of Spain's popular cities.

Formación

  • Master's degree or PhD preferred.
  • Bachelor's with substantial Olympiad experience may be considered.
  • A valid teaching licence: PGCE, QTS or US equivalent is essential.
  • Strong academic background in Physics or related science.
  • Experience teaching Physics/Science and international schooling is valued.

Responsabilidades

  • Teach Physics to students in Year 3 to Year 10 (ages ~7–14).
  • Inspire curiosity and develop scientific thinking, enquiry and problem solving.
  • Prepare engaging lessons, assessments and differentiations for mixed abilities.
  • Support Olympiad and academic competition participation where possible.

About the School

An outstanding opportunity is available for an accomplished Physics Teacher to join a well-established international school in Málaga, Spain. The school delivers a British curriculum and is committed to providing students with a rigorous, engaging and internationally minded education.

The successful candidate will teach across Year 3 to Year 10, working with students aged approximately 7 to 14 years old. The school places strong emphasis on academic excellence, developing independent thinkers and encouraging students to pursue their interests beyond the classroom.

This is an especially exciting opportunity for a Physics specialist who can inspire students from an early age and build a strong foundation in scientific thinking, enquiry and problem-solving. Experience with academic competitions or Olympiads will be highly valued.

Required qualifications
  • A Master's degree or PhD from a leading/top university in the candidate's country is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree may be considered where they can demonstrate substantial and relevant Olympiad experience.
  • A valid recognised teaching licence is essential, such as PGCE, QTS or a US teaching licence, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • A strong academic background in Physics or a related scientific discipline.
  • Previous experience teaching Physics and/or Science.
  • International school experience is preferred but not essential for an exceptional candidate.
  • Strong experience with Physics, Science or STEM Olympiads would be a significant advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of Physics and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • The ability to inspire students aged 7–14 and make scientific concepts engaging.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong lesson planning and assessment skills.
  • The ability to differentiate effectively for students with different learning needs and abilities.
  • A passion for academic excellence and developing high-performing students.
  • Experience encouraging students to participate in competitions, Olympiads or other academic enrichment activities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability when working within an international school environment.
  • A positive, professional and student-centred approach.
