IMDEA Nanociencia in Madrid is seeking a PhD student to characterize semiconductor samples using time-resolved THz spectroscopy (TRTS) and THz-TDS, lead data analysis, and prepare manuscripts. The role involves presenting results at conferences and collaborating in an international team.

The contract is initially about one year with possible extension up to four years; annual gross salary will follow IMDEA Nanociencia standards for PhD students.

Formación

• Qualifications: BSc + MSc (physics, materials science or alike)
• Prior experience in ultrafast spectroscopy is a plus.
• Prior experience in THz spectroscopy is a plus.
• Knowledge in electrical characterization will be valuable.
• Programming skills will be evaluated positively.
• Communication skills in English are mandatory.
• Ability to work in an international team, flexibility, and adaptability to handle multiple tasks.

Working Conditions

• Contract duration: ~1 year initially (possible extension up to 4 years).
• Annual gross salary: will correspond to the standards of IMDEA Nanociencia for PhD students.
