Job description

Our client

BTS is a global professional services firm specialized in the human side of strategy. Founded in 1986 in Stockholm, BTS helps organizations move from strategy to execution through leadership development, coaching, talent transformation, business simulations and experiential learning.

With more than 1,200 professionals across six continents, BTS partners with many of the world's leading organizations.

BTS is currently looking for a People Experience Lead to join its team in Bilbao and contribute to the People Experience agenda across South Europe & Latin America (SELAM), supporting approximately 165 employees across Spain, Italy, Greece, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.

Job purpose

The People Experience Lead will act as a key People partner to BTS's SELAM leadership and people managers, combining strategic HR partnering with hands‑on execution across the full employee lifecycle.

Reporting to the Head of People Experience, MOW (Most of the World), the role will contribute to aligning people decisions with business priorities, supporting leaders in their people‑related challenges, accelerating the talent agenda and fostering a consistent employee experience across the region.

The position will have a particular focus on talent management, employee engagement, recruitment and onboarding, manager support, people analytics and the implementation and continuous improvement of global People Experience processes and initiatives.

What you will do

Business partnering

  • Act as a trusted People partner to SELAM leadership and people managers, participating in relevant leadership meetings, talent reviews and workforce planning discussions.

  • Advise on organizational design, team structures, spans of control and organizational changes as the business evolves.

Recruitment and onboarding

  • Coordinate and/or own end‑to‑end recruitment processes for SELAM roles, from briefing managers and defining requirements through candidate management and onboarding.

  • Apply the MOW Recruitment Process and keep an accurate view of open roles and pipeline health.

Talent management and development

  • Coordinate the annual talent review cycle across SELAM, ensuring appropriate preparation, follow‑up and alignment with global processes.

  • Support managers in career development, talent identification and internal mobility.

  • Contribute to succession planning for critical roles and coordinate the corresponding actions and timelines.

  • Collaborate with the different MOW sub‑regions to ensure consistency and effective implementation of the wider talent agenda.

Learning and development

  • Identify, together with managers and the relevant resourcing teams, capability and skill gaps across the region.

  • Coordinate training, development and upskilling initiatives according to business and people needs.

  • Contribute to initiatives that support continuous learning and professional development.

Manager support, employee relations and policies

  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on performance conversations, team dynamics, people challenges and change processes.

  • Support managers in addressing employee‑related situations, ensuring consistency with BTS's values, policies and practices.

  • Manage employee relations matters directly when appropriate, escalating complex cases to the Head of People Experience or legal advisors when required.

  • Stay up to date with relevant local employment legislation across the countries within the scope and contribute to keeping policies and practices appropriately updated.

Employee experience, engagement and culture

  • Champion the employee experience across key moments of the employee journey, identifying opportunities to improve how employees experience BTS.

  • Coordinate the local implementation of employee engagement surveys, analyse results and support managers in defining and following up on action plans.

  • Contribute to initiatives around employee listening, feedback, recognition, culture and connection, ensuring they are aligned with BTS's values.

  • Lead the local implementation of global/MOW People initiatives and support organisational change processes.

People data and insights

  • Use people data and analytics to identify trends, risks and opportunities across the region, including headcount, turnover, engagement and other relevant indicators.

  • Prepare regular and ad hoc people reporting and insights for leaders, translating data into relevant information to support decision‑making.

  • Ensure the accuracy and appropriate maintenance of People systems and information.

  • Identify best practices and opportunities to improve People processes based on data and experience.

Offboarding

  • Coordinate resignation and termination processes, ensuring a professional, consistent and compliant exit experience.

  • Conduct and/or coordinate exit interviews and identify relevant insights and trends.

  • Ensure appropriate follow‑up and communication throughout the offboarding process

What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.

  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management, People Management or equivalent.

  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally combining HR generalist and/or HR Business Partner responsibilities with significant exposure to talent management.

  • Experience working across multiple countries, offices or international environments. Exposure to South America and/or South Europe will be highly valued.

  • Broad knowledge of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, talent management, development, engagement, performance, employee relations and offboarding.

  • Experience acting both as a strategic people partner and a hands‑on HR professional, comfortable moving between strategic discussions and day‑to‑day execution.

  • Strong understanding of employee experience and people practices, with an interest in continuously improving the employee journey.

  • Strong data literacy, with the ability to work with dashboards, people metrics, IA and analytics and translate data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with leaders, managers and employees at different levels of the organization.

  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, particularly in supporting managers through people‑related conversations and challenges.

  • A consulting mindset, with the ability to understand complex business situations, structure problems, propose solutions and drive implementation.

  • Fluent English and Spanish. Portuguese and/or Italian would be an advantage.

  • A role with regional scope across South Europe and Latin America, working with teams and leaders across six countries.

  • High exposure to different areas of the People agenda, combining HR Business Partnering, talent, employee experience, engagement and organisational development.

  • The opportunity to contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of global People Experience practices.

  • A dynamic environment where the People function plays an active role in supporting business growth and organisational transformation.
