King’s College School Soto de Viñuelas in Madrid is seeking a flexible and reliable Secondary Cover Teacher to join the school from early November on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will provide cover for secondary classes across a range of subjects, delivering lessons as part of both the UK academic curriculum and the IB programme.

We are looking for an adaptable teacher with excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Formación

• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching secondary students.
• Experience in British/international schools desirable.
• Ability to teach across UK curriculum and IB.

Responsabilidades

• Provide cover for secondary classes across a range of subjects.
• Deliver lessons in accordance with the UK curriculum and IB programmes.
• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by subject teachers and departments.
• Maintain a positive, well-managed and productive learning environment.
• Support students in completing assigned work and maintaining continuity of learning.
• Adapt effectively to different subjects, year groups and classroom situations.
• Monitor student engagement, behaviour and progress during lessons.
• Provide appropriate feedback to relevant teaching staff following cover lessons.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour expectations.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.
