The City of Durango is hiring a part-time Gymnastics Coach to organize and instruct age-appropriate gymnastics activities within Parks and Recreation programs. You will create a positive, engaging environment for participants and support program operations through lesson planning and equipment care.

You will work with staff to deliver safe, well-organized programs, modeling good sportsmanship and following department policies. Experience with children and strong communication are valued.

Formación

• Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
• Possession of a valid Colorado driver’s license, where applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, and lead gymnastics classes and instructional activities for Parks and Recreation programs.
• Arrive prepared and on time for assigned shifts, practices, classes, or activities.
• Develop and submit age-appropriate lesson plans and supply requests to the Recreation Supervisor.
• Teach proper gymnastics techniques and fundamentals appropriate to participant age and skill level.
• Follow program philosophy and ensure participant safety during activities.
