Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona seeks a post-doctoral researcher for the CORESIDENCE ERC project to advance family demography studies. The candidate should hold a PhD in Demography, possess medium-high quantitative skills, and be proficient in R.

English language proficiency and strong research output are essential. Collaboration within the CORESIDENCE team is expected to drive high-quality research outputs.

Responsabilidades

• Publish findings in first-quartile demography journals when possible.

One post-doctoral position in the CORESIDENCE ERC project

Job position requirements (skills/languages/required experience)

• PhD in Demography
• Medium-high quantitative skills (good knowledge of statistical software like R)
• Proficiency in English
• High quality research and communication skills.
• Publications in first-quartile demography journals are highly valued.
• Ability to pose relevant research questions, summarize existing research and produce high-quality research outputs that have an impact on the field of family demography and sociology.
• Competencies in managing and understanding individual and household level microdata.
• Ability and commitment to work both individually and cooperatively with other CORESIDENCE team members.

In the motivation letter, Post-docs are invited to develop research objectives related to the project’s proposal. All candidates are expected to provide evidence (including examples) showing how they meet the selection criteria for the position. This may include describing how relevant skills, abilities, experience and knowledge enable them to develop the job effectively.

Selection process
