CTGE is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our Safety & Environmental Office in Murcia. The role focuses on technical guidance, risk assessments, audits, and on-site safety management for wind and solar assets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in renewables, a degree in Industrial/Electrical/Energy Eng or HSE, and certifications in PRL areas. ISO 45001/14001/9001 experience is required.

Formación

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with on-site safety management for Wind and Solar PV assets.
  • Experience implementing safety management systems and risk assessments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Spanish regulations (Law 31/1995, RD 614/2001, RD 337/2014).
  • ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 experience or certification.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and contractors to enhance risk assessment and safe operations.
  • Coordinate SEO/HSE inspections across portfolios to meet legal and corporate standards.
  • Track KPIs for the department and support continuous improvement of safety culture.
  • Draft and review HSE procedures aligned with legislation and project authorizations.
  • Monitor on-site safety for high-risk activities and lead incident investigations (RCA).
  • Implement and audit Lockout-Tagout and electrical safety on-site.

Environmental Health Safety Specialist- Murcia

We are looking for a Safety & Environment Specialist for our Safety & Environmental Office (SEO) Department and to manage our projects from the region of Murcia. Functions & Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support & Operational Execution

  • Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and contractors to enhance risk-assessment capabilities and ensure safe operations.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and execution of SEO/HSE inspections across portfolios, ensuring inspection frequencies strictly meet both legal and corporate standards.
  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department, analyzing data to support the continuous improvement of the preventive culture.
  • Execute ad-hoc tasks, technical reports, or specific projects assigned by management to support evolving operational and business objectives.

2. Regulatory Compliance & Management Systems

  • Serve as a key technical liaison for Spanish regulatory bodies regarding Law 31/1995 (PRL) and specific Royal Decrees (e.g., RD 337/2014, RD 1215/1997), managing necessary documentation and inspections.
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 management systems, preparing sites for internal and external audits.
  • Draft and review high-level HSE procedures for site activities, ensuring alignment with national legislation and project authorizations (DIAs) before management sign-off.
  • Monitor and supervise safety measures on-site for critical works and high-risk activities, such as blade repairs, gearbox changes, or substation shutdowns.
  • Participate in or lead the investigation of incidents and high-potential "near misses," conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Implement and audit Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety frameworks on-site to eliminate operational risks.

4. Contractor Oversight & ESG Reporting

  • Supervise and coordinate with service providers regarding Regulatory Inspections and OCA certifications, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
  • Collect, verify, and report QHSE/ESG metrics (such as waste management, emissions, and fauna impact) to support corporate sustainability goals.
  • Monitor site operations to ensure strict compliance with Environmental Impact Assessments (DIAs), specifically tracking biodiversity and sustainability programs.

Provide technical support and represent the department in meetings with internal teams, partners, contractors, or during external audits.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a proven track record in on-site safety management for Wind and Solar PV assets.
  • University Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Industrial, Electrical, or Energy Engineering, HSE.
  • Candidates should hold certifications (PRL) in all three preventive specialties: Safety at Work, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology.
  • Expertise in Spanish regulations, specifically Law 31/1995, RD 614/2001 (Electrical Risk), and RD 337/2014 (High-Voltage Installations).
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • GWO certification BST.
  • 5 years of experience will be highly valued.
  • Familiarity with Office 365.
  • Strong negotiation skills for interacting with OCA bodies, subcontractors etc.
