The Cigna Group is seeking an Operating Effectiveness Manager in Madrid to lead a team of consultants driving deep dive assessments, process reviews, and improvement projects. You will optimize workflows, engage senior stakeholders, and guide cross-functional transformation initiatives in a fast-paced global department.

You will mentor Lean Six Sigma teams, build data-driven insights, and design long-term plans to improve efficiency across multiple business areas.

Formación

  • 10+ years of experience in transformation roles.
  • Experience supporting business projects or improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Responsabilidades

  • Mentor Lean Six Sigma consultants on daily project management.
  • Upskill resources on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Validate process maps and assess current workflows for gaps.
  • Build relationships with senior leaders to drive improvement programs.
  • Analyze data to generate executive insights for recommendations.
  • Design long-term transformation plans and present proposals.
  • Coordinate project plans with multiple stakeholders to implement changes.
  • Deliver changes through presentations, documentation, training, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with change teams to measure impact post-implementation.

About The Role

As an Operating Effectiveness Manager, you lead a team of consultants who conduct deep dive assessments and process review initiatives across operational areas to identify gaps, optimize workflows, and support improvement projects. You work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where creativity, data driven thinking, and strong stakeholder engagement are key. This role also supports cross functional project teams and contributes to continuous improvement within a diverse, global department comprising ISO 9001, Knowledge Xchange, and Process Engineering.

What You’ll Do
  • Mentor Lean Six Sigma consultants on their day-to-day project management
  • Upskill resources on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Validate process maps, assess current workflows, and help identify gaps or structural issues that require improvement.
  • Build stakeholder relationships with senior leaders across various books of business. Drive innovation programs aligned to their strategic objectives.
  • Engage proactively with teams and systems to generate executive insights through data analysis, and support evidence-based recommendations.
  • Design long term transformation plans and present improvement proposals that enhance efficiency and operational outcomes across different business areas.
  • Coordinate project plans, working with multiple stakeholders to test, validate, and implement process changes.
  • Deliver changes effectively through clear presentations, documentation, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with change enabling teams—including Automation, Quality Assurance, Planning, NPS, Data & Analytics, Knowledge Xchange, and Learning & Development—to support delivery and measure impact after implementation.
What You’ll Bring
  • At least 10 years of experience in a transformation role at Cigna or a similar business.
  • Experience supporting business projects, improvement initiatives, or acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in evolving environments, manage competing priorities, and follow work through to completion.
  • Solid understanding of business processes, structures, and operational best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Technical / Functional Skills
  • Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and flowchart creation tools, including Visio.
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Understanding of Agile concepts.
  • Knowledge of business process design and improvement techniques.
  • process automation exposure, or project/change management experience.
