Lever, Inc. is seeking an OpenStack Engineering Manager based in Spain to lead a globally distributed engineering team responsible for operating modern private-cloud infrastructure for customers worldwide.

You will blend technical leadership with people management, service delivery, and continuous engineering improvement across OpenStack, Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud technologies. Remote collaboration and customer-facing alignment are key aspects of the role.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in a technology-related field.
• Experience delivering software using Python/Go/C/C++/Java or similar and/or managing technical operations teams.
• Demonstrated experience with OpenStack.
• Strong software testing, maintainable code, and engineering quality practices.
• Experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Debian preferred).
• Understanding of distributed systems, cloud architectures, and modern cloud technologies.
• Experience with agile methodologies and structured engineering practices.
• Experience leading geographically distributed teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel ~20% for events and customer meetings.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day managed service for customer environments, balancing development and operations.
• Improve engineering quality and delivery velocity through processes and workflows.
• Monitor team health indicators and drive performance and collaboration improvements.
• Implement disciplined engineering and operations processes for reliable service delivery.
• Represent the team to customers, product engineering, and external teams.
• Maintain focus on priorities, milestones, and customer commitments across environments.
• Ensure deployments meet service level requirements and are delivered on time.
• Collaborate with customers, product teams, and operations to resolve challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
