Alstom in Madrid seeks an Obsolescence Engineer to ensure availability and mitigate obsolescence risks across railway systems. You will manage product structures, BOMs, and supplier plans while developing dashboards and KPIs to monitor lifecycle health.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering, services, and project management to deliver sustainable solutions and support tenders with cost-effective alternatives.

Formación

  • University degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience in a similar engineering role or product design environment.
  • Knowledge of obsolescence management processes within industrial sectors.
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with SAP and CAD or other design tools is desirable.
  • Advanced Spanish and intermediate English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset, autonomy and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsabilidades

  • Implement and improve obsolescence management strategies within the Services business.
  • Develop and enhance obsolescence management tools, repositories, reporting dashboards and KPIs.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of product and project obsolescence management plans.
  • Perform obsolescence risk assessments and monitor parts at risk throughout their lifecycle.
  • Validate supplier obsolescence management plans and integrate them into project strategies.
  • Manage product structures, bills of materials and parts availability reports within Alstom systems.
  • Support business development and tender activities by proposing alternative technical solutions and assessing associated costs, validation and documentation requirements.

Your role, your impact

What you bring
