Acid Tango is a digital product studio based in Madrid seeking a Data Engineer to build and evolve modern observability platforms. You will instrument applications, collect technical and business metrics, and develop ETL processes for operational data used by engineering and business teams.

You will work with Python, Java and TypeScript services, leverage Datadog and OpenTelemetry, and contribute to defining KPIs, SLIs and SLOs while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in Data/Platform/Observability engineering or similar roles.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog including APM, metrics, dashboards and tracing.
• Experience instrumenting applications for technical and business metrics.
• Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry and Datadog SDKs.
• Experience defining SLIs, SLOs and operational KPIs.
• Solid understanding of structured logging and metrics collection.
• Good knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Python; familiarity with Java and/or TypeScript is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement observability solutions using Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
• Instrument applications to collect technical and business metrics.
• Build dashboards and monitoring solutions for engineering and business teams.
• Define and implement KPIs, SLIs and SLOs with stakeholders.
• Design structured logging strategies and metrics pipelines.
• Analyze logs, traces, and metrics to improve reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for observability data when required.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve instrumentation across Python, Java and TypeScript services.
• Help evolve cloud monitoring capabilities on AWS.
• Promote observability best practices across projects.
