Job summary

Fundació Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca (VHIR) in Barcelona seeks a Clinical Researcher to join the Diabetes and Metabolism Research Group and contribute to obesity-related trials.

The role involves acting as a Sub-Investigator, performing patient visits, obtaining informed consent, and coordinating with the PI and multidisciplinary teams within a dynamic biomedical environment at the Vall d’Hebron campus.

Qualifications

• Holds a degree in Medicine.
• Completion of specialist training (MIR).
• MIR speciality in Endocrinology and Nutrition, Internal Medicine or Clinical Pharmacology.
• Desirable: additional training in data management, data bases and statistics.
• Desirable: additional training in Clinical Trials.
• Desirable: additional training in obesity clinical management.
• Experience as a clinical investigator in trials and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a Sub-Investigator in clinical trials in obesity.
• Perform medical visits related to the clinical trials in obesity, per protocol.
• Collaborate with the medical team, study coordinators and other departments involved in the trials.
• Monitor and follow up participants to ensure compliance with study procedures.
• Contribute to other research activities within the group as agreed with the Principal Investigator.
• Participate in national and international scientific meetings and other activities of the research group.
