Your role

As Sales Executive, you will play a key role in driving commercial growth by developing and converting business opportunities in the MICE segment (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events), particularly those involving accommodation.

Working closely with the Sales Manager and Commercial Management, you will manage client relationships, develop new accounts, prepare tailored proposals, negotiate commercial conditions, and coordinate confirmed groups to ensure a seamless experience from the initial enquiry to post-stay follow-up.

You will also support the commercial and operational management of corporate and social events when required, ensuring continuity of service and close collaboration with the hotel's operational teams. This role requires a proactive, commercially minded professional with strong organizational skills, a client-focused approach, and the ability to balance business development, revenue optimization, and operational excellence.

What you will do:

1. Proactive and Reactive Sales Management – MICE Groups with Accommodation

  • Work closely with the Sales Manager and Commercial Management to attract, manage, and convert MICE business opportunities with associated accommodation across different geographical markets
  • Develop proactive sales initiatives targeting corporate clients, MICE agencies, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), meeting planners, and other relevant intermediaries
  • Respond to and follow up on enquiries for corporate groups, meetings, incentives, and other MICE opportunities involving accommodation
  • Prepare tailored proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and formalize contracts, incorporating rooms, event spaces, F&B, and related services where applicable
  • Prioritize opportunities according to hotel needs, availability, and revenue strategy, contributing to the achievement of commercial targets

2. Account Development and Client Relationships

  • Identify, develop, and nurture accounts with the potential to generate MICE group business with accommodation
  • Maintain regular commercial activity through calls, client visits, presentations, and account follow-ups
  • Conduct site inspections for prospective clients and groups at enquiry, tentative, and confirmed stages
  • Participate in assigned sales initiatives, industry networking events, and trade fairs
  • Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships before, during, and after their stays, encouraging repeat business and long-term partnerships

3. Client Service and Commercial Follow-up

  • Respond to incoming enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring an initial response within 24 hours
  • Identify client needs and tailor proposals to the hotel's product, standards, availability, and capabilities
  • Manage client questions, changes, and issues throughout the sales process, coordinating solutions with the relevant departments
  • Gather client feedback and share relevant insights internally to improve the product, service, and commercial processes
  • Ensure consistent follow-up from the initial enquiry through conversion, group delivery, and post-stay evaluation

4. Operational Coordination of Confirmed Groups

  • Ensure that all contracted terms and group requirements are communicated accurately and comprehensively to the relevant departments
  • Coordinate rooming lists, cut-off dates, deposits, payments, cancellation terms, and other commercial and operational requirements
  • Prepare and maintain the internal documentation required for group stays and associated services
  • Participate in coordination and pre-convention meetings, facilitating the transfer of information between the client and operational teams
  • Monitor contractual commitments and any changes following confirmation, working closely with the relevant operational teams to ensure proper execution

5. Event Coverage in the Sales Manager's Absence

  • Ensure continuity in the commercial management and follow-up of corporate and social events when the Sales Manager is off-property
  • Handle enquiries, conduct site inspections, and follow up on proposals and events within established commercial conditions and authorization levels
  • Coordinate with operational departments to ensure the necessary information, arrangements, and preparations are in place for events during this coverage
  • Keep the Sales Manager informed of decisions, changes, commitments, and outstanding matters, ensuring a smooth and organized handover upon their return

6. Revenue Management, Forecasting, and Systems

  • Keep leads, accounts, sales activities, and business blocks up to date in the PMS and relevant commercial systems
  • Accurately record opportunity status, revenue forecasts, decision dates, and reasons for lost business
  • Provide reliable and up-to-date information to Commercial Management and the Revenue Manager for group and revenue strategy meetings
  • Collaborate with the Revenue team on rates and commercial conditions to maximize occupancy, ADR, and overall business profitability
  • Prepare activity reports, pipeline updates, production reports, and other commercial analyses as required
