Cognizant Technology Solutions en Barcelona busca un Ingeniero Node & React con al menos 5 años de experiencia para diseñar y desarrollar aplicaciones web modernas y escalables. Trabajarás en un entorno internacional, colaborando con equipos multifuncionales para entregar soluciones de alta calidad usando Node.js, React y TypeScript.

Participarás en la implementación de APIs REST, arquitecturas de microservicios, y despliegues en AWS/Azure, optimizando rendimiento, seguridad y escalabilidad

Formación

• Titulación en CS o ingeniería de software y al menos 5 años de experiencia.
• Experiencia sólida en JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js y React.
• Conocimientos de RESTful APIs, bases de datos SQL/NoSQL y nube (AWS/Azure).

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar, desarrollar y mantener APIs y servicios backend escalables con Node.js.
• Crear front-ends con React y TypeScript para aplicaciones web.
• Colaborar con analistas, PO y QA para entregar soluciones de alta calidad.
• Participar en revisiones de código y mejoras continuas.
• Optimizar rendimiento, seguridad y escalabilidad de las apps.
• Apoyar CI/CD y despliegues en AWS/Azure.
• Trabajar en equipos ágiles y participar en planificaciones de sprints.

Node & React Engineer Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Node React Engineer to join our growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who want to contribute to the development of modern, scalable web applications and digital platforms in a fast-paced international environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain innovative solutions using Node.js, React, and cloud-native technologies. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality software that enhances customer experiences and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and modern frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
• Build responsive, user-friendly, and accessible front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, and UX teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following software engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
• Support CI/CD processes and cloud deployments across AWS and Azure environments.
• Work within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and delivery activities.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Solid hands-on experience with Node.js and React development.
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and collaborative software development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience with NestJS, Express.js, or similar backend frameworks.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to travel, retail, or e-commerce platforms.
• Understanding of SOAP/XML integrations and legacy systems.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and performance optimization.
• Spanish language skills.
