Cognizant is seeking a passionate Node & React Engineer to join our growing technology team in a fast-paced, international environment. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js, React, and cloud-native technologies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, APIs, and microservices, while participating in CI/CD processes and agile delivery. English proficiency and strong problem-solving skills are required.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Solid hands-on experience with Node.js and React development.
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and collaborative software development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and modern frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
• Build responsive, user-friendly front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, and UX teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following software engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
• Support CI/CD processes and cloud deployments across AWS and Azure environments.
• Work within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and delivery activities.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Solid hands-on experience with Node.js and React development.
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and collaborative software development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience with NestJS, Express.js, or similar backend frameworks.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of SOAP/XML integrations and legacy systems.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and performance optimization.
• Spanish language skills.
