Basque Center on Cognition Brain and Language (BCBL) in San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain, invites applications for two Research Assistant positions in the Consciousness group. The RAs will work on an fMRI- and an fNIRS-based protocol, developing neurofeedback pipelines and integrating approaches across modalities.

Starting 1 January 2027, this full-time role offers a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment.

Formación

• Background in Psychology/CS/Engineering/Cognitive Neuroscience with interest in human brain imaging and neurofeedback.
• Ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary research team.
• Strong written and oral English communication.
• Experience applying ML, MVPA, or decoding to neuroimaging data.
• Experience with fMRI and/or fNIRS analysis, MVPA/representational approaches.
• Experience developing real-time data analysis pipelines or neurofeedback paradigms.
• Experience with experimental design, psychophysiological measures, or subjective emotional experience.
• Interest in neuroscience of consciousness, cognition, and emotion; interdisciplinary research enthusiasm.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
• Develop and implement neurofeedback analysis pipelines.
• Collaborate with the Consciousness group to compare imaging modalities.
• Support dissemination of results through reports and presentations.
