Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training) for a fully remote hourly contract. You will analyze security scenarios, review incidents, and help create labeled datasets for AI training. Strong written and verbal communication is essential as you work asynchronously on security-focused tasks.

Requirements include 2+ years in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security and familiarity with firewalls, EDR, SIEMs, IAM, and email gateways.

Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training)

• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10-40 hours/week (flexible)

What You'll Do

• Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios drawn from real enterprise environments
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to identify what went wrong and why
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on operational data
• Create, label, and validate security datasets used to train and evaluate AI systems
• Clearly document root causes, attack paths, and business impact in structured formats

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security
• Familiar with enterprise security tooling — firewalls, EDR platforms, email security gateways, IAM, SIEMs, and beyond
• Strong grasp of how organizations actually deploy and operate security controls in production
• Able to communicate complex security issues clearly — root cause, impact, and remediation
• Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based projects

Nice to Have

• Experience with incident response or threat hunting
• Background in red team, blue team, or security operations
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning concepts, or data labeling workflows
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar
