Empresa Confidencial is seeking a Network Engineer to join its Engineering team, contributing to design, deployment, and evolution of enterprise-grade network infrastructures across cloud and hybrid environments.

You will collaborate with Platform Engineering, DevOps, Product Engineering, and Operations teams to tackle high-availability architectures, security, and scalability while documenting solutions for global services.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join the Engineering team of an innovative international technology company operating large-scale cloud and digital service platforms.

You will work alongside experienced engineers across Platform Engineering, DevOps, Product Engineering, and Operations teams, contributing to the design, implementation, and evolution of highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructures.

Location

• Remote from anywhere in Spain
• Preferred location: Madrid, for occasional in-person collaboration
• Possibility of accessing offices located in major Spanish cities when needed

Key Responsibilities

As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of enterprise-grade network infrastructures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing high-performance network architectures.
• Evaluating, integrating, and validating new technologies and solutions.
• Contributing to the evolution of cloud-based and hybrid infrastructures.
• Ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient network designs.
• Participating in architecture reviews and technical decision-making.
• Supporting engineering teams throughout deployment and operations.
• Managing relationships with technology vendors and partners.
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Troubleshooting complex networking and infrastructure incidents.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in networking technologies, including:
• Switching
• Routing
• Firewalls
• Load balancing
• Deep understanding of multicast environments:
• IGMP
• PIM
• PIM-SM
• PIM-SSM
• MSDP
• Advanced knowledge of:
• 802.1Q
• Spanning Tree
• OSPF
• BGP
• IS-IS
• Experience with cloud services and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Solid understanding of high-availability architectures and service delivery platforms.
• Experience working with content distribution networks (CDN) and large-scale Internet services.
• Professional level of English (B2 or above).
• Fluency in Spanish.

Nice to Have

Experience with one or more of the following:

• AWS or other cloud platforms
• Python or other scripting languages
• Storage technologies and NAS environments
• Linux administration
• Datacenter technologies
• Infrastructure monitoring and automation tools
