Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Navy PORTS program efforts in Middletown, RI.

The role requires strong leadership, cost control, and coordination with customers and the program team to deliver high-quality, compliant software and hardware deliverables. The ideal candidate has a DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain), a BA/BS in a related field, at least five years of management experience including P&L, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
