Alexion seeks a field-based Medical Affairs professional in Barcelona to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and external experts in Oncology or Rare Diseases. You will deliver scientifically rigorous, pharmacoeconomic information and support medical education while ensuring compliance.
You will gather insights from the field to inform internal stakeholders, review materials for accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve patient care and outcomes.
Field-based position responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with healthcare professionals and external experts in Oncology or Rare Diseases therapeutic area. Deliver high-quality, up-to-date scientific, technical, and pharmaco-economic information, and act as a trusted partner for medical education and support. Proactively gather insights from the Oncology or Rare Diseases field to inform internal stakeholders and contribute to enhancing patient care and outcomes.
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related healthcare field; Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sector (minimum of 3 years); Ability to manage requests independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and escalating issues when necessary; Strong interpersonal, communication, and scientific presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both local language and in English.
Desirable: Advanced degree (e.g., MSc, PharmD, or PhD); Comprehensive knowledge of local and international medical compliance regulations; Experience in Oncology or Rare Diseases.
Internal: Oncology & Rare Disease Field Medical Liaison team; Medical Affairs teams (including field and office-based staff); Compliance; Sales and commercial colleagues; Regulatory affairs.
External: Healthcare professionals (HCPs); External partners or service providers; Regulatory authorities; Other key regional or community stakeholders.
