The Senior Manager, Global Scientific Communications, leads the development and execution of global scientific communication and publication activities for assigned rare neurology products. This role turns complex clinical and scientific data into clear, accurate and compelling communications for external audiences, while partnering closely with internal teams across research, medical, marketing, biostatistics and medical affairs, as well as external authors, investigators, publishers and medical communications agencies. Ready to shape how breakthrough data in rare neurology reaches clinicians and the wider scientific community? This position drives timely delivery of abstracts, posters, oral presentations and manuscripts, identifies the right forums for data dissemination, maintains global slide decks, supports medical education plans, and continuously monitors the literature and competitive landscape to inform strategy and execution.

Accountabilities:
  • Support the Associate Director/Director/Senior Director of Scientific Communications in developing a comprehensive strategic publication plan for assigned rare neurology products and ensure effective implementation.
  • Analyze, interpret and summarize complex scientific and clinical data to inform publication strategy and select appropriate congresses and journals for dissemination.
  • Conduct literature searches, interpret scientific publications and provide competitor assessments and insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Plan, produce, write, revise and place abstracts, posters and manuscripts from company-sponsored clinical trials, ensuring scientific rigor and alignment with strategy.
  • Develop high-quality scientific content through research, scientific writing, editing and fact checking, delivering on time and within agreed scope and objectives.
  • Manage and track the publication plan, monitoring progress and proactively addressing risks to ensure timely execution.
  • Assist in the development, coordination and execution of medical education strategies such as symposia and congress activities, including agenda development, content review, slide review and speaker management.
  • Oversee agency maintenance of documents in publication planning software, ensuring database accuracy, integrity and compliance.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company Publication Policy and current good publication practices.
  • Collaborate across functions to maintain and update global slide decks and other core scientific resources that support rare neurology medical education and communication.
Essential Skills/Experience:
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical company or Medical Communications agency
  • Experience in strategic and tactical publication implementation, and the development of medical educational materials
  • Ability to interpret and organize highly complex scientific data, including experience reviewing clinical trial data and output from statistical analysis programs
  • Must be skilled writer with demonstrated ability to write / review / edit / place scientific articles, abstracts, posters
  • Working knowledge of current good publication practices and guidelines
  • Ability to work with teams, including medical publications agencies, to plan, write and develop abstracts, posters, oral presentations, manuscripts, slide decks and content for scientific and educational programs
  • Ability to travel (US and International) as necessary
  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • PharmD, PhD or MD
  • Understanding of the clinical development process, including global health outcome data
  • Experience in strategic and tactical publication planning
  • Experience in working closely with KOLs and authors
  • Experience in planning and implementation of symposia and development medical education materials
  • Experience with publication management software (e.g., iEnvision)
