National City Chamber of Commerce NCCC is seeking an experienced field service technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment. The role involves diagnosing complex systems, road testing, and coordinating with clients to meet repair estimates and timelines.

The ideal candidate will manage parts inventory, complete DOT documentation, and operate company vehicles in compliance with safety policies.

Responsabilidades

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, and engine components.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck systems such as electrical, braking, air conditioning, transmissions, and differentials.
• Inspect, test, and analyze defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld devices and pressure gauges.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and verify proper operation.
• Independently manage parts inventory and service truck stock, reconcile periodically.
• Maintain and operate company-issued service vehicle; conduct safety and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Work with clients to assess needs, provide information, resolve problems and meet expectations.
• Document work and upload RO photos and findings via iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
• Work independently, manage daily schedule.
• Obtain parts from approved vendors for repairs.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals on estimates and purchase orders.
• Perform all work following safety, health and environmental policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (“PM”), DOT Inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor adjustment and repairs on various types of truck equipment including, but not limited to: Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Fan clutches, Engine electronics, Diesel steering systems, Engines (gas and diesel), Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials, etc.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of truck equipment including, but not limited to: Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Air conditioning systems, Fan clutches, Engine electronics, Diesel steering systems, Engines (gas and diesel), Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials, etc.
• Inspect, test, and analyze defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are working properly.
• Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, and use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives.
• Independently manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company‑issued service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.
• Maintain and operate company‑issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre‑/post‑trip inspections.
• Work with and listen effectively to clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations.
• Manage concurrent assigned tasks, making effective judgments as to prioritizing work-related activities and time allocations.
• Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lift and jacks.
• Document according to company standards and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings observed on Repair Orders (“RO”) using company‑issued iOS device and our proprietary TRAIT application.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
• Work independently, managing own daily schedule.
• Maintain a high level of productivity and stay within or close to most standard repair times.
• Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for repairs.
• Communicate with management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers or discuss RO findings.
• Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies and federal regulations.
