Global Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture of a unified global mobile app for iOS and Android, with cross-platform options. You will coordinate with integration teams across countries and manage external partners to deliver a cohesive product.

The role requires deep experience in both mobile and backend architecture, hands-on cloud and DevOps know-how, and the ability to communicate with C-level stakeholders.

Formación

• Senior, programme-level role as a Solution/ Mobile Architect.
• Experience with mobile and integration/backend architecture.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Solid programming background (Java/Python/C#).
• Experience getting designs approved by architecture boards.
• Excellent C-level communication. Comfortable with senior management.
• Experience leading distributed cross-cultural teams.
• Practical, hands-on use of AI to design solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the global mobile app, covering iOS, Android and cross-platform options.
• Design how the app integrates with many different backend and cloud systems across countries.
• Lead a distributed architecture team across countries, cultures and organisations, including external technology partners.
• Act as the architectural authority for the programme and represent it in governance forums.
• Build alignment and influence across senior stakeholders, often without formal authority.
• Translate complex technical decisions into clear messages for management and business leaders.
• Evaluate new technologies and shape the roadmap, including cloud-native and AI-enabled architectures (LLM APIs, RAG pipelines).

Senior Solution Architect - Mobile & Integration (Global Insurance Group)

Location - Madrid or Barcelona, hybrid working model

One app. Dozens of countries. One of the world's largest insurance and financial services groups is consolidating its country-specific mobile apps into a single global app. If you can talk to both mobile engineers and integration architects, and present with confidence to the C-level, this one is for you.

The project

• Today there are dozens of separate apps across countries and entities. The goal is one app that serves all of them
• Backend systems stay local to each country, so integration is the core challenge
• The integration layer is delivered by an internal group company
• The programme spans every entity up to group holding level, so you'll be navigating a large, complex organisation

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the global mobile app, covering iOS, Android and cross-platform options
• Design how the app integrates with many different backend and cloud systems across countries
• Lead a distributed architecture team across countries, cultures and organisations, including external technology partners
• Act as the architectural authority for the programme and represent it in governance forums
• Build alignment and influence across senior stakeholders, often without formal authority
• Translate complex technical decisions into clear messages for management and business leaders
• Evaluate new technologies and shape the roadmap, including cloud-native and AI-enabled architectures (LLM APIs, RAG pipelines)

What you bring

• Significant experience as a Solution Architect or Mobile Architect in a senior, programme-level role
• Strong background in both worlds: mobile (native iOS/Android or cross-platform such as Flutter) and integration/backend architecture
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and DevOps practices
• Solid programming background (e.g. Java, Python or C#)
• A track record in large corporate environments, with experience getting designs approved by architecture boards
• Excellent C-level communication. You're comfortable in the room with senior management
• Experience leading architecture across distributed, cross-cultural teams
• Practical, hands-on use of AI in your work, for example creating solution designs with AI or using AI to review them
