Job summary

eDreams ODIGEO in Barcelona is seeking an experienced ML Engineer to join our Data Science team on a Hybrid basis. You will design and develop machine learning and AI solutions for training and serving models, and help extend our internal AI platform.

As part of the role, you will spread knowledge across the Data Science Organization, promote best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable AI-powered services for our travel platform.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience in ML or software engineering.
• Experience with Python, Java, C++, or other OO languages; JavaScript frontend is a plus.
• Understanding of ML model lifecycle and MLOps basics.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, monitoring; Jenkins desirable.
• Experience developing REST APIs and scalable systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and Docker.
• Familiarity with SQL databases.
• Written and oral English communication skills.

The Role's Key Responsibilities and Tasks

As an eDOer, you will have clear objectives, great challenges and a clear overview of how your work contributes to the global company project and its customers. As a ML Engineer in the Data Science team you will be in charge of:

• Work with the Data Science team to design and develop Machine Learning and AI solutions;
• Participate in the design and implementation of our internal AI platform;
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and MLOps;
• Provide internal users with training materials and communicate new developments;
• Providing guidance and advice, ensure best practices are followed across the data science organization.

What you need to succeed:

Job Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or other quantitative areas);
• 2+ years of related experience as a Machine Learning or Software engineer;
• Experience with Python, Java, C++ or any other object-oriented programming language. Javascript and / or frontend experience is a plus;
• Overall understanding of the process of creating machine learning models and their life cycle;
• Knowledge of best practices to automate software development and ML operations; CI-CD, testing, and monitoring. Experience with Jenkins desirable;
• Familiarity with Agentic application development, and understanding of the general concepts.
• Actively use AI as part of their day to day work;
• Experience developing REST APIs and scalable systems;
• Experience working in cloud platforms, distributed systems and Docker;
• Familiarity with SQL databases;
• Written and oral communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Applied AI Tools: Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as Gemini, or other AI-powered assistants.
• Experimentation Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to explore, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into workflows.
• AI-Enhanced Problem Solving: Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to streamline processes, and enhance productivity.
