A leading renewable energy company is seeking a Mechanical Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical expertise during wind turbine installations in Madrid. The role includes ensuring compliance with safety standards and resolving quality issues to guarantee optimal performance of wind turbines. Ideal candidates will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in similar environments, along with good teamwork skills and a problem-solving mindset. Proficiency in English is required, and full availability for travel is essential.

Formación

  • Vocational technical studies (FPII/Technical Diploma) – mandatory.
  • Experience in wind farms is preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights and in HSE environments.
  • Experience in leading teams or quality roles is highly valued.
  • Must have good level of English.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide technical mechanical support during installation phases.
  • Identify and resolve quality deviations.
  • Ensure HSE compliance on site.
  • Coordinate technical modifications with Engineering.
  • Deliver technical guidance and training to teams.
  • Perform quality checks on site.
  • Collaborate in prototype testing and validation of new technical solutions; report site activity status and submit technical docs.
  • Perform quality checks on site and report findings with corrective actions.
  • Participate in coordination of site activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Descripción del empleo

Mission

To provide strong mechanical expertise during the installation and finishing phases of the WTG, ensuring the turbine is fully prepared for commissioning. You will also support the resolution of quality deviations, contributing to a smooth handover to the customer and ensuring optimal performance throughout the turbine’s lifetime. This is a hands‑on, dynamic role in an international environment, ideal for professionals who enjoy technical fieldwork, teamwork and continuous problem‑solving.

Your Tasks
  • Provide technical mechanical support during the installation, adjustment and finishing phases of the WTG
  • Identify and support the resolution of quality deviations to ensure smooth commissioning and long‑term turbine reliability
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements on site and intervene whenever safety rules are not followed
  • Coordinate and launch technical modifications in close collaboration with the Engineering department
  • Deliver technical guidance and on‑site training to supervisors and field teams
  • Support the improvement of instructions, work methods and procedures related to installation and finishing
  • Collaborate in prototype testing and validation of new technical solutions. Report the status of site activities, preparing and submitting the required technical documentation.
  • Perform quality checks on site, including complete reporting of findings and corrective actions
  • Participate actively in the coordination of site activities and in continuous improvement initiatives
Your Profile
  • Vocational technical studies (FPII/Technical Diploma) – mandatory. Engineering degree is a plus
  • Previous experience working in wind farms (installation, mechanical works, maintenance or assembly)
  • Comfortable working at heights and in demanding HSE environments
  • Experience leading teams or working in quality roles is highly valued
  • Solid mechanical knowledge and strong hands‑on approach
  • Good computer skills (Office, reporting tools, technical platforms)
  • Resourceful, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to make decisions on site
  • Strong focus on safety, quality and operational excellence
  • Full availability to travel without restrictionsInternational driving license (or willingness to obtain it)
  • Good level of English (spoken and written) is required
