Job summary

Alexion is seeking an MDM Operations Lead to oversee day-to-day Master Data Management activities across domains and regions. The role connects business and technical teams, ensuring deployments land on time and align with the broader MDM strategy.

The ideal candidate will drive on-time delivery, monitor team performance, and translate business requirements into actionable technical work for the delivery team, while communicating progress to stakeholders and the MDM Lead.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Management or Master Data Management (MDM).
• Experience leading MDM operations, delivery, or support teams.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across business and technical functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day MDM operations across domains and global regions.
• Monitor delivery progress and the performance of the delivery team (developers, testers, and support staff).
• Help ensure deployments and releases are delivered on schedule.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical work for the delivery team.
• Explain technical issues, developments, and outcomes to business stakeholders and the MDM Lead.
• Manage detailed delivery items while aligning with the MDM strategy and major programs.
• Partner with the MDM Lead on strategy and programme-level planning.

Role Summary

We are looking for an MDM Operations Lead to support the day-to-day operations and delivery of Master Data Management across domains and global regions for Alexion. This is a delivery-oversight and stakeholder-facing role, not a pure development role. You will connect business and technical teams, keep an eye on the strategic picture, and make sure MDM deployments land on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day MDM operations and delivery across multiple data domains and global regions
• Monitor delivery progress and the performance of the delivery team (developers, testers, and support staff)
• Help ensure deployments and releases are delivered on schedule
• Translate business requirements into clear technical work for the delivery team
• Explain technical issues, developments, and outcomes to business stakeholders and the MDM Lead in plain language
• Manage detailed delivery items without losing sight of the broader MDM strategy and major programs
• Partner with the MDM Lead on strategy and programme-level planning

Required Skills and Experience

• Communication: strong written and verbal communication across business and technical audiences (essential)
• MDM expertise: hands-on experience delivering or operating an MDM platform
• Delivery oversight: experience monitoring teams, tracking progress, and driving on-time delivery
• Strategic perspective: able to balance operational detail with long-term direction

Technology Preferences (in order of preference)

Veeva Network (ideal) /Reltio or another enterprise MDM platform/ Informatica MDM or a comparable tool

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Data Management, Master Data Management (MDM), or related enterprise data domains.
• Experience leading or coordinating MDM operations, delivery, or support teams.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across business and technical functions.
• Experience working in global or multi-regional environments.
