Job summary

Essity in Sant Joan Despí (Barcelona), Spain, seeks a Materials Planning Team Leader to guide a team of Materials Planners, ensuring material availability across the network while optimizing service levels, inventory, and cost performance.

The role partners with internal and external stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and supporting Essity’s Supply Planning transformation journey in a global, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Planning, Materials Planning, Production Planning, Inventory Management, or similar.
• Experience leading people or teams.
• Ability to identify root causes and make decisions in fast-moving environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in cross-functional settings.
• Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and reporting tools knowledge.
• Experience with SAP planning solutions (APO/IBP/S/4HANA) or equivalent systems.
• End-to-end understanding of Supply Chain processes.
• Continuous improvement mindset and adaptability in an international context.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Materials Planners to secure product availability.
• Drive planning excellence by optimizing inventory, service levels, and working capital.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enable alignment and visibility.
• Monitor KPIs, perform root-cause analysis, and implement improvements.
• Support transformation initiatives and digital tools adoption across Planning functions.
