Job summary

Essity is seeking a Materials Planner to ensure timely availability of raw materials for production across European operations. You will combine planning with supplier interaction, anticipate supply risks and take action on shortages or delivery changes.

Responsibilities include executing material plans, managing POs, and maintaining master data while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams. Hybrid work model and international exposure offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in material, supply or production planning.
• Experience with SAP or similar planning systems; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor material plans to ensure raw materials are available for production.
• Collaborate with suppliers, monitor service performance and address supply risks.
• Share forecasts with suppliers and translate requirements into supply actions.
• Create and follow up on purchase orders and supplier call-offs, adjusting priorities as production changes.
• Monitor stock levels and balance material availability with inventory objectives.
• Respond to shortages, delivery deviations and planning exceptions, coordinate timely solutions with stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate planning and procurement master data and contribute to improvements in day-to-day planning.

Apply today and join us.About the RoleAs a Materials Planner in our Personal Care division, you will help ensure the right materials are available to support production across our European operations.This is a hands-on planning role in a dynamic manufacturing environment where priorities can change quickly. You will combine planning and data analysis with regular supplier interaction, anticipate potential supply risks and take action when shortages, delivery changes or other exceptions arise.What You Will DoMaterial Planning: Execute and monitor material plans to ensure raw materials are available when required for production.Supplier Collaboration: Build effective day-to-day relationships with suppliers, follow service performance and proactively address potential delivery or supply risks.Forecast & Supply Alignment: Share forecasts and relevant planning information with suppliers and translate changing requirements into appropriate supply actions.Order Management: Create and follow up on purchase orders and supplier call-offs, adjusting priorities when production requirements change.Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or excess inventory, balancing material availability with inventory objectives.Operational Problem Solving: Respond to shortages, delivery deviations and planning exceptions, assess potential impact and coordinate timely solutions with relevant stakeholders.Planning Excellence: Maintain accurate planning and procurement master data and contribute to improvements that make day-to-day planning more effective.Who You AreBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.Relevant experience in material, supply or production planning, ideally within a manufacturing or similarly dynamic supply-chain environment.Comfortable working with SAP or similar planning systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, to support planning decisions.You combine analytical thinking with clear communication and collaboration skills.You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.What We Can Offer YouOur purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-being, provides meaning to everything we do.
