Galderma seeks a Materials Scientist to join our Barcelona team. You will analyze and optimize materials used across products and packaging, applying deep technical expertise to ensure performance and compatibility.

The role requires collaboration with Product Science, MS&T, and Quality, translating complex findings into clear documentation and presentations while working in a regulated dermatology environment.

Formación

  • MSc or PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 3–8+ years in pharma, biotech, cosmetics, or injectable/aesthetic products.
  • Strong expertise in material characterization and analytical techniques.
  • Deep understanding of material interactions and applied science.
  • Hands-on mindset with problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation abilities.
  • Applied material science experience in regulated industries (pharma, aesthetics, cosmetics).

  • Understand interactions between raw materials and packaging (tubes, bottles, etc.).
  • Assess how supplier differences impact material performance and product quality.
  • Investigate material-related issues and drive practical, science-based solutions.

  • Translate complex findings into clear technical documentation and presentations.

Impact

You will bring deep technical expertise to understand, characterize, and optimize materials, ensuring performance, compatibility, and scalability across our products and packaging systems.
